Are you Going Natural?
I can count on my fingers the number of times I've been asked this question. Every now and then someone randomly comes up to me and asks "Are you going natural?" Ummm no I'm not (sarcastically speaking) my hair is just nappy because I want it to be.

Six Months Post Big Chop
My hair has grown quite a bit since December. I'm so in love with it. The only part I don't like is not really knowing what to do with it. I usually just do two strand twists. Or braids(plats) just to get it over with. Take them down (twist out) and put a headband on and call it a day. Today I bought Oragnic Root Stimulator's Lock & Twist Gel. I plan on doing a review on that within the next couple of days. A lot of people ask me if I'm going to lock my hair but I have no plans to. I like it the way that it is now. Even though it takes forever and a day to do I'm sticking to the two strand twists and every now and again I'll do a braid out but that'll be when it gets longer than what it is now.

Products I've Been Using Since December
When I first got my hair cut I use to wash it every day with Mega-Tek Rebuilder Hoof Mane Tail thinking my hair would grow back faster. Ummm no it didn't. I looked everywhere on YouTube, Googled some stuff help me but I felt like I needed someone I had a personal relationship with to help me start my journey. So I asked my cousin and this is what she told me to do:
Use shea butter, i also use water that i put into a spray bottle, deep conditioning conditioner and olive oil oil sheen but anything with shea butter in it or just shea butter but i just focus on keeping it conditioned so ...it wont dry out. Cold air dries the hair so the only time i wear my hair out is inside lol until it warms up a little keep your ends clipped too when needed but natural hair loves water try not to comb so much fingering combing is better but if u want that fro look then pick it out with a pick but condition first before u pick so it will be easy to comb.

The Big Chop

I AM My Hair
The first time I had my hair cut was when I was in the 9th grade. I hated it. The beautician cut off some of the top and all of the back. I cried like a big ol' baby. I eventually got over it and actually started to like it. My hair ended growing back it took a while though probably about 3 years til it got to the length I wanted it at. My ends were a different story but none the less I was happy with my hair.
Until I got it dyed burgundy. I had always wanted to get my hair dyed that color.(I didn't get all of my hair dyed just got highlights first) So finally I had gotten it done and it was great for a while. I loved the way it looked in the sun. A lot of people in my family warned me about not keeping it greased but I didn't care I just knew I looked cute as a burgundy chick. Well now I wish I had of listened to them because it started falling out in the middle and that was the only place. When my hair wasnt done I felt like crud but when it was you couldn't even tell.
The song I Am Not My Hair by India.Arie does not apply to me. I am my hair. It makes me happy. Nobody can tell me other wise.
